Children's Missions Groups

We now have two children's mission groups for both girls and boys from age 3 through sixth grade. Through studying missions, children begin to realize that missions is possible as they learn how missionaries fulfill their call. They also begin to realize that they can make a difference in their world as they respond to the needs that are around them.

  • Mission Friends - This group is for boys and girls ages 3 to 5. Rhonda Pruitt is the teacher.
  • Children in Action - This group is for boys and girls in grades 1 through 6. Mary Hill Land is the teacher.
  • Both groups meet on Wednesdays at 6:30pm.

    2018 Heck-Jones Offering

The Women's Missionary Union began in 1924 and contributions to it support local, national, and global missions, working through education and training and support to Camp Angel Tree, Christian Men's and Women's Job Corps, military and ministers' wives support groups, and the NC Baptist Nursing Fellowship, to name just a few. The Heck-Jones Offering supports the WMU of North Carolina and the missions and ministries they perform. Their theme this year is "Fan the Flame" based around 2 Timothy 1:3-7. Just as Paul records that Lois and Eunice passed on their faith to Timothy in the New Testament, we are expected to pass on our faith from generation to generation, remembering that our witness of faith and discipleship begin in the home and spread to the four corners of the earth. Offering envelopes are in the pew racks for anyone who wants to donate to this mission work, and this offering is accepted all year. The goal for our February emphasis is $500.00. 2018 Annie Armstrong Easter Offering

The theme of this year's offering is "Here & Now". This offering is the primary way we support mission efforts in North America. 100% of gifts are used to support Southern Baptist missionaries serving across the United States, Canada, and their territories. The offering goes to train, resource, and send the 5,262 missionaries involved in church planning and compassion ministries. The week of prayer for this offering is March 4 through March 11. Spray Baptist's goal is $3,000. To learn more, visit anniearmstrong.com and the North American Mission Board site.
